Independance Day Celebrations 2025

The Independence Day celebration was conducted on Friday, the 15th of August 2025 at Vagdevi Vilas School, Whitefield, with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The event began with the receiving of the Chief Guest, Smt. Indira Nair, Academic Advisor, Vagdevi Vilas Institutions, followed by the flag hoisting ceremony, which filled the atmosphere with pride and honor. Soon after, an invocation song and dance were performed to seek blessings for the day’s proceedings.

The Principal of VVSW, Ms. Dimple Jana, delivered a warm welcome address, reminding the gathering of the supreme sacrifices made by our freedom fighters. She highlighted the importance of nurturing values such as unity, discipline, and responsibility among the younger generation, so that they can carry forward the legacy of our great nation.

Students showcased their talents through various performances. Speeches in English, Hindi, Sanskrit, and Kannada highlighted the spirit of the day, while dances, songs, poems, and a skit reflected the students’ extraordinary talent. A special yoga performance added to the uniqueness of the event, symbolizing the harmony of body and mind.

The Chief Guest, Smt. Indira Nair, in her address, appreciated the efforts of the school and the vibrant participation of the students. She emphasized that independence is not just about freedom from colonial rule but also about fulfilling our duties as responsible citizens. She urged the students to remain rooted in Indian culture while embracing progress and innovation to shape a brighter tomorrow for the nation.

The celebration concluded with the Vote of Thanks, followed by the rendition of the National Song, leaving everyone with a sense of pride and gratitude towards our motherland. The presence and encouragement of parents added warmth to the occasion, making the celebration even more meaningful. The day truly embodied the spirit of patriotism, reminding us that freedom is both a gift and a responsibility, and inspiring all to work together for a stronger, united, and prosperous India.
