The International Yoga Day, 2022 was celebrated with much fervor and enthusiasm. Yoga is an integral part of our cultural & spiritual heritage and that was aim with which the school conducted activities for the students. From Mass Surya Namskaras, group song about the benefits of yoga to asanas, the students participated with excitement and joy.

Principal Smt Dimple Jana addressed the students and emphasized the importance of yoga and motivated the students to make that an important part of their lives.

Famous Personality from Karnataka STD 3
Fancy dress competition encourages children to express their point of view of the world around them. It helps build both large and fine motor skills, decision making skills, encourages empathy and assists in the overall emotional development of children. This competition was conducted on account of Kannada Rajyotsava for our Std 3 students and they took part enthusiastically.

A science exhibition was organized at Vagdevi Vilas School, Whitefield on Saturday 18th Jan, 2020. Students from standard I to V displayed innovative talents. With the key objective of bringing out the hidden talents of students and with a focus on creating more awareness of science, technology and engineering, the exhibition was organized.

Students showcased static and working models which can be used for learning various scientific concepts. Students had prepared models like CPR portable mask, Rain water harvesting, blue tooth controlled car, DC motor, Dispersion of light, Eco friendly bus etc.

Students were encouraged to develop a scientific fervor and an attitude of research mindedness so that they develop the qualities of analytical and critical thinking.

Parents were invited to the science exhibition and were happy to see the work done by their children.

Vagdevi Vilas School, Whitefield celebrated the Annual Day function on 21st December 2019 with great enthusiasm and zeal. The entire school participated wholeheartedly towards the success of this grand event.


Shri Satyesh N Bellur, Management Consultant, Author, Poet, Senior Vice President, Tejas Networks was the esteemed Chief Guest for the event. In his speech, he emphasized on moral Education, responsibility of students towards their parents and the nation.

 

The event started off with invocation song by the school choir. The colourful cultural programme was presented meticulously by the students. The journey showcased all types of dances – both Indian and Western, finally showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Karnataka. The School’s Annual Report for the Academic Session 2019-2020 was presented by the respected Principal. This included the achievements of the school since its inception and also highlighted the mile stones achieved during the last academic session.

 

To felicitate and recognize the talents of the students in different fields like academics and extra-curricular activities, they were given away prizes.
